Giannis is coming to South Beach

On July 6th, 2026 (it was like around June 20th when the trade happened), the trade for Giannis was complete. He and Bobby Portis Jr. were sent to Miami in exchange for Tyler Herro, Ke'Lel Ware, Jaime Jaquez Jr, and Kasparas Jakucionis, the draft rights to Nate Ament, and four future draft picks. I am excited to see Pat finally get his guy, cause Giannis has been linked to the Heat forever. It sucks that we got him at 31, but we can't look at the negative cause well, the Heat has a top-5 player, and that makes the Heat a perennial top-5 team in the East. I love the Bobby Portis get cause he fits the whole Heat Culture attitude, the kind of guy that shows up and grinds; it's a move that really excites me. I am bummed to see Jaime leave cause he was my favorite player on the Heat outside of Bam and Tyler, but it's a business. The end goal is to win championships, so you have to be a sacrificial pawn; so be it, and it's the reason everyone says not to get attached to players, because everyone is up for sale to have a parade. These are very exciting times, though, for the Heat; having Giannis definitely makes life easier, so I'm ready for the season to begin.
