Florida just became the ultimate villians
When the news broke on June 21st, 2026, that Brady Tkachuk was traded to the Florida Panthers, I was like, ok, that's something I wasn't expecting. Florida had to make a move earlier in the day by trading Mackie Samoskevich to Seattle for a 1st this year and a 2nd next year, which Florida packaged with the 9th overall pick to trade for Brady. It hurt cause it automatically ended the dreams of bringing Bobrovsky back, who ended up signing with Toronto at the start of Free Agency. Having Brady with his brother Matthew, Brad Marchand, Sam Bennett, and all the other roughneck players the Panthers have is gonna make it a complete grind for teams when it comes playoff time. I'm excited to see the season cause of how deep this team is, and now with Barkov coming back from a torn ACL, you have that worry. Still, after how Barky played in Worlds, he looks like his old self, so the only question going into the year is the goaltending, but again I can't wait until the season starts.
