Dolphins Rivalry: Patriots
Time for the offseason and time to get a new GM

Miami lost to the New England Patriots 10-38, finishing 7-10 on the season. We're getting the 11th pick since Kansas City, CIncy, and New Orleans all lost there games, where if the would've won Miami would've gotten the 8th pick in the draft, which, going into the game, I really had no excitement for until after the game, cause now it gets exciting and see who is the new GM, cause we're getting Troy Aikman on board for this. I'm really excited cause he's an outsider, and with his broadcasting experience, he's talked to a bunch of people and has a lot of inside scoop on them. So far, Miami has requested permission to speak to the 49ers Assistant GM RJ Gillen, the 49ers VP of Player Personnel Tariq Ahamed, the 49ers Director of Scouting and Football Operations Josh Williams, and the Rams Assistant GM John McKay, Eagles Assistant GM Alec Halaby (whom I want), the Packers VP of Player Personnel Jon-Eric Sullivan, and that is the ones that they have interviewed so far, source Tom Pelissero/X. It's tough cause Mike is more than likely gonna be sticking around, and you don't want to handcuff the new GM by having McDaniel there. Let the GM have a say, and if the GM says there is no one in this coaching pool, then yes, keep Mike, cause Mike would be the best candidate on the market, cause we can win with Mike, but I want a fresh start and not cut corners if the team decides to teardown and rebuild. Mike is gonna be in during the interview processes, according to Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald. I'm with that, yes, you want him and the new GM to jive together and have them get on the same page, which I get, but as I referenced before, you don't want to handcuff the new guy. You don't want to waste a year that is gonna be rough with the amount of dead money we have going into next season, where 2027 is when a lot of money is coming off the books. I get that next year is a throwaway year and use it to scope out Mike and the whole team, but it needs to start once we hire the new GM this year. According to Adam Schefter, Miami is expected to move on from Tua, which comes as no surprise, cause Tua was absolutely awful this year and put the Dolphins in cap hell, with his $250 million dollar contract with tons of guaranteed money. Overall, I want to see how the GM process goes, how the new GM works with Mike, and how the Dolphins are gonna draft, 'cause I hope we build the team up to play in the cold weather. After all, that's playoff football. Go Fins.
