Miami Falls In The Round Of 32, To Purdue, 79-69
Was a fun season

Miami fell to the Boilermakers on Sunday, March 22nd, by a score of 79-69. I'm happy that we competed with Purdue, cause Purdue is one of the premier teams in the Big 10, and the Canes were up by 2 at the half. Matt Painter, who is a great coach, made the key adjustments to win the game. Purdue has a great trio of senior players with Braden Smith, Fletcher Loyer (I know Canes fans have some beef with this dude), and Trey Kaufman-Renn, who has been with the Boilermaker for all four years, and that's the culture Jai Lucas is building, he hit home runs on Malik Reneau, Tre Donaldson, and Ernest Udeh, and those were key foundation builders, it sucks that they will ony be here for one season, but I hope that Jai can form this roster and get to keep quality players and keep building up the foundation. In the offseason, Miami is getting a 5-star player who played with the Boozer twins named Caleb Gaskins, and he became our second-highest player behind Lonnie Walker. Miami needs to get some players who can knock down the 3-ball and be a team that makes free throws. If the Canes were a solid free-throw shooting team and could hit their 3-point shots, they would be a higher seed and could potentially make the Sweet 16. Still, those are the things Jai Lucas (I want him to be here forever) needs to address. This season was an absolute success, especially after the worst season in Hurricanes men's basketball history, so I am looking forward to the future of this program. Go Canes.
