Miami showed a lot of fight, but fell to Kansas City, 24-10
Defense balled out

This was a game where you could see Miami turn a corner, facing a very good Kansas City team that is viewed as a Super Bowl contender. The defense played amazingly; yeah, Kansas City scored touchdowns on the first two drives, but they scored 10 points the rest of the way, and the defense gave them fits for most of the game. Jacob Rodriguez is showing that he is the linebacker of the future for the Dolphins and is basically the reincarnation of Zach Thomas. It's gonna be really exciting to see it all come together, and see the kind of players Sully and Haf bring in.
Possibly losing Achane for the year is gonna hurt, but the bright side is we can see Jaylen Wright (when he returns from injury) and Ollie Gordon progress throughout the year.
Right now, I'm not sold on Willis; I will have a true answer by week 8, once I see whether Miami should draft a QB or if Malik improves and shows he can be the guy. Some of his decisions were head-scratching; a couple of times he threw into double coverage. He got lucky with one of them because Dulcich came back to the ball and cut in between the two defenders. Willis could've run the ball on a third-and-one to get the first down, but he chose to throw to Malik Washington, and the pass was nowhere near him.
Overall, I am happy with the game. Yes, you don't want to lose, and there are no moral victories, but you can see the Dolphins fighting, competing, and being a gritty team. It shows that we will nab a couple of wins; I don't know where, but they will get a couple once the offense and defense start helping each other out. Next week, the Dolphins take on Minnesota, another solid team that's 3-0 this year, and their DC is Miami's former Head Coach Brian Flores, and he's gonna be out looking for blood. Fins Up.
Kansas City leads the all-time series 18-16.
