Panthers Take Down Rival, Carolina Hurricanes On Their Banner Night
It's So Great To Have Panthers Hockey Back

The Panthers beat rivals, the Carolina Hurricanes, 1-0. It was a really fun, super intense game that felt like a playoff game. Gustav Forsling nailed the game-winner off an assist from Carter Verhaeghe with 4.3 seconds left, giving the Panthers 2 points, which is nice. As the season goes on, you'll need to stack overtime wins because they help with the seeding tiebreaker. You'll need to find a way to win. Jacob Markstrom picked up a shutout, and he played amazingly well. With Sergei Bobrovsky (who was beloved at the end of his tenure with the Panthers), it raised question marks in the net because Bob had moments of brilliance and was a key factor in the Panthers' cup runs. Still, he signed a 3-year, $21 million contract with the Toronto Maple Leafs.
It was so nice to see Sasha Barkov again; he missed all of last year with a torn ACL, and he was greatly missed because he's the best two-way player in the world. The line he's on with Brady Tkachuk and Sam Reinhart is gonna be really fun to watch, and Brady gives someone that Barky never had- someone who can truly skate with the puck, especially with his size. As the season goes on, I expect all the lines to gel, and once Brad Marchand returns to the dynamic third line with Anton Lundell and Eetu Luostarinen, the sky is the limit for the Panthers. Vamos Gatos.
