The Miami Dolphins has hired Jeff Hafley as their new Head Coach
A New Era in Miami

On Monday, January 19th, around 4:45 PM, the Miami Dolphins announced that Jeff Hafley will be the 12th coach in Dolphins history. I wasn't moved by the reports and news leading up to the decision to hire Hafley as the new coach. I wanted Chris Shula or Klint Kubiak as the next head coach, but I'm gonna be supportive of the decision cause I am a Miami Dolphins fan, and I'll be supportive of all of their decisions. This move is a boring hire, not a sexy hire, which may be why it could work for the Dolphins. Hafley is a hard-nose coach, and pairing him with Jon-Eric Sullivan and trying to morph the Dolphins into that tough-nose, willing to compete in the cold weather, causes the Dolphins go up to Buffalo, New England, and New York every year, and if they make the playoffs, Kansas City, Baltimore, and now possibly Denver, those are cold weather teams. You have to go through them if you want to make the Super Bowl, but obviously, we Dolphins fans want to win a playoff game first. Their introductory interview is coming up soon, so I'll talk more about them after that. After the introduction, Sully and Haf said all the right things you wanted to hear as a Dolphins fan, but it comes down to the old 'I'll believe it when I see it.' Overall, Haf seems like a coach who can definitely find success in the league, and I do want him to succeed in the NFL. I do think he'll change the culture of the Miami Dolphins from this fast but very soft team to a team that's gonna be mentally tough, physically demanding, and willing to go up against any challenges. I don't expect Miami to be any good next year, but if we can have that mindset where they compete in every single game and don't give up, I'll be thrilled. It's gonna be a long road ahead of us. Still, I do think Sully is gonna get us the right players, and Haf is gonna have the players buy in. The draft is gonna be huge this year cause Sully is preaching the whole build through the draft and using free agency to fill in the gaps. It personally excites me to see who the Dolphins draft, cause I've been wanting them to go Line with that 11th pick. Still, I know they have the best player available mindset, and I am totally fine with that. I plan to follow Sully and Haf's lead and envision the Dolphins. So onto a new future. Fins Up.
