Miami and SMU have met only once, with SMU winning 7-3 on September 18th, 1965, at the Orange Bowl.

Keys to the Game

Miami needs to play smart and avoid costly mistakes because SMU is an excellent football team with a very good chance of winning. Beck needs to be a Field General and not put the offense in a situation that would be very detrimental, as it would definitely be costly. The rushing attack will be vital in the game, and they need to waste time and keep the high-power Mustangs offense on the sideline. Defense needs to limit explosive plays because SMU can be a high-powered offense and put you behind the chains quickly. Bain and Mesidor need to get after Jennings, cause if you let him stand in the pocket or let him get off and run, then he's gonna burn you.

Prediciton

This is gonna be a big challenge for the Canes, cause this is the first time Miami is leaving the state of Florida, and if the Canes lose, then thats the end of the chance for the College Football Playoffs, and Rhett Lashlee (former Miami's OC) and the rest of the former Hurricanes players would abslutley love to ruin Miamis chance of an amaizing season. Still, if Miami plays the way they have most of the season, it will have a golden opportunity to win and possibly keep alive the chance to make the College Football Playoffs.
