Fins Talk Rivalry: New England
Another choke job.

I don't even know where to begin, man. This team consistently finds ways to choke this game away. For instance, after gaining momentum on Malik Washington's punt return touchdown, we end up giving it away on the ensuing kickoff, which goes 90 yards. You can't get a comeback win with Tua, man. On the second-to-last drive, he overthrows Tyreek, and if Hill were in stride, he would've scored to put Miami up 34-30, pending if Patterson would've made the field goal, but he ended up throwing an interception. Their final drive was going well, with them moving down the field, but they could've scored if Achane hadn't stepped out of bounds. Tua ended up taking a sack, which was the game, and it shows that Tua can't lead you to a win when it matters most. The defense sucks badly. I want to like Anthony Weaver, but the defense's performance makes it unenjoyable. We had a 20-15 lead, and I wanted them to score a touchdown, but the offense was undisciplined, and Mike McDaniel proved to be really incompetent as a head coach. He always takes forever to get the calls in, which wastes timeouts and puts us at a disadvantage. Don't be surprised if Larry Csonka tweets out again on how uninspired the Dolphins look. It really sucks because I was a fan of McDaniel when we got him, but now every time he talks to the media, he sounds dumb. I'm not trying to be mean, but no one will take you seriously. Chris Grier needs to find someone from teams like the Eagles, Chiefs, Bills, Ravens, or Lions. Those teams have an established culture of winning big games and making deep playoff wins, with two of them winning the Super Bowl the last two years. We'd bring in new players, tear everything down, and cut around 60-70% of the roster. Then, we'd rebuild with players who can handle the heat of South Florida and the brutal winter in Buffalo, essentially players who can withstand the rigors of a playoff environment. But none of this will happen until Ross can Grier and McDaniel. Overall, it's just frustrating, man. I know this team can compete with any team. We came back against Baltimore in McDaniel's second season as coach. We competed with Buffalo in the low teens of December and January, featuring Tua and Skyler Thompson (vs. Buffalo in the playoffs). But every team makes adjustments, and Mike doesn't, which costs us big time. Sorry for this venting post, but I'm just absolutely annoyed with how this team is, from talking big in the summer to basically tucking tail these last two weeks. But at least the Hurricanes are number 4 in the nation; I'm just waiting for that collapse. Sadly, we're heading up to Orchard Park to play Buffalo this Thursday, provided we can keep the score under 50 points, which is a given. Still, if we do, I'll view it as a stupid moral victory, which doesn't even win you a participation trophy. But Josh Allen and the Bills are just going to take us behind the woodshed and give us the spanking we all remember from when we were kids. But thanks for stopping by and listening to me rant about my favorite NFL team. If you see a brown bag on my head, just let me cry in peace. Go Phins.
