Series History

This will be the 43rd meeting between these two legendary programs. Miami currently leads the all-time series 29-12-1 over Pitt. The series itself has been super lopsided, with Miami winning seven out of 10 matchups since 2013, when Pitt joined the ACC. This rivalry isn't as heated as Miami vs. Florida State or the Backyard Brawl. Still, it's one of those fun matches up to watch, kinda resembles the rivalry with the Dolphins and Steelers, not super heated but always physical and chippy. Pitt comes into the matchup with a one-game winning streak, having last won in 2022, Mario's first year as the Hurricanes coach, by the score of 42-16. This matchup is a lot more meaningful now, with whoever wins this and other possible outcomes could put either of these teams in the ACC Title game.

Keys to the Game

Miami again needs to play a full 4-quarter game, and they can't let up, cause you're not only playing against Ptt, but right now you're playing the Committee as well. Defense needs to pin their ears back and get after Pitt's freshman quarterback and make it a very long night for him.

Predicition

This is basically the biggest game this year for the Canes, cause if they win, they have a shot at the college football playoffs and a possible chance at the ACC Championship game, but if they lose, you will know what will happen to them. I think this game is gonna be entertaining, and I expect this game to have that rivalry week feel to it, honestly. Go Canes.
