Well That Was Ugly

First off, shout-out to Darian Mensah for setting the ACC record for most consecutive completions with 24, and he was 3 away from setting the NCAA record.

    Why do we always take the foot off the gas? I was hoping Dawson and Mario learned their lessons last year. I understand you want to save them, but this pattern keeps playing out and could ruin another supposed magical season. It's rough cause you love to see Toney have a Heisman-type season. Still, we really need Barkate to be the 1,000-yard receiver he was at Duke, and we need to see Jordan Lyle as well, cause with Marty Brown done for the year (prayers up to him), and Mark Fletcher has a stinger, this is the time we really need him more than ever.

    Corey Heathermans' defense definitely stepped up their game, because when Miami's offense stalled in the second half, the defense made the key plays to win it for the Canes. The tackling needs to improve a lot, because this kind of effort against the likes of Notre Dame later in the year, when the CFP is watching, is basically going to be the eye test, and if your defense isn't helping the offense, it's going to be a long day. 

    Don't get me wrong, I am happy we won, but it wasn't a satisfying win, because Miami should've blown Wake Forest out by at least 20-plus; now it's on to Central Michigan.
