Fins Talk: Please Clean House

Time to move on

Here we are once again, hoping that Ross actually goes through and fires Mike and Chris, cause how can you go up 17 to nothing then forget how to play football and lose to the Carolina Panthers, not a knock to them at all, cause they fought hard til the very end, and they got rewarded with a win. Tua played solid until we needed him the most, so I'm torn on my feelings about that, but I'm still off the Tua train, and don't get the idea I'm back on it. Waller definitely delivered, but sadly, we didn't keep feeding him the ball. Waddle did really well in the role of Tyreek, but Tyreek is a game-changer, and if he were playing, it would be a different scenario. Not saying Waddle can't be a game-changer, but it's easier to lock Waddle down than Tyreek. Defense played well in moments, but the offense's inability to capitalize on the defensive stops ultimately broke down, and they fell apart at the end of the game. There needs to be changes, sooner rather than later, cause this is absolute purgatory, and I'm torn cause I want to win ball games, but that would mean this regime would still be here, and we want it to end. We need to strip the team down and build the trenches first, because if we acquire a QB now, it would put the future QB in a position to fail, and we don't want that. I think we will be in another crappy situation where fans will be complaining, and it will be the same situation all over again. My mindset is to bolster the defense in this upcoming draft and, through free agency, strengthen the offense. The following year, we will draft offensively and continue to build up the defense through free agency, ensuring that nothing is neglected. This way, we can cut loose all the dead weight players and start fresh. This needs to be done, but it's all up to Stephan Ross, and once he gets this rolling, then we all can hope (the keyword in this sentence) we can build a respectable team, and have a GM and a coach that aren't cornballs. Go Phins.
